The Power of Jobs during COVID-19
In changing and uncertain times as these, our most vulnerable populations must be protected.
At Goodwill, we are committed to continuing to provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and disadvantages in North Texas. Due to the shelter-in-place order issued by Dallas County, we have closed our retail stores and warehouse. That means now, more than ever, we need your financial assistance to transform lives through the power of jobs.
Please make a gift today to support individuals with disabilities and disadvantages in our community.
Last year Goodwill’s Donated Goods Program provided direct employment to 887 individuals with physical and developmental disabilities in addition to individuals with living conditions at or below the poverty line in our warehouse, 18 retail stores and 25 donation sites across North Texas. The majority, 62% of the individuals placed had a disability, and 38%, were classified as having a disadvantaging condition. COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on North Texans, especially individuals with disabilities and disadvantages. Goodwill is here to support those with disabilities and disadvantages today and always – with your support. Thank you for your generosity.
