Giving to Goodwill Dallas

Leave A Legacy

Your planned gift to Goodwill demonstrates the spirit of compassion and mutual encouragement, as each generation of job creators preserves the legacy of opportunity, strengthens it and passes it on.

Every day, we write part of our story--a story that will become a legacy passed down to the next generation. If an important part of your life's story is making a gift that continues giving then there is no better way to honor that vision than to create a lasting legacy of generosity that will shape the future of Goodwill for generations to come.

Benefits of a Bequest

A charitable bequest is deductible for federal estate tax purposes, and there is no limit on the amount of the estate tax charitable deduction your estate can take.

Options for your Bequest to Goodwill

You can select from the following options:
· A specific dollar amount
· A percentage of your estate's value
· Designation of all or part of your life insurance or retirement plan proceeds
· Securities
· An interest in real estate (such as a residence)

John Michael

John Michael's Story

"I’ve always had an interest to work on computers but without real work experience my dream could be only a hobby. Goodwill Dallas allowed me to volunteer in their computer department and then hired me as their Computer Technician. Goodwill trained me and gave me the tools to grow within the computer industry. Goodwill allows me to do the thing I love the most, which in my eyes makes me successful.”
