Work Adjustment Training Services
Work Adjustment Training/Vocational Training
Provides individuals with little or no work experience a quasi-work environment to learn the soft skills of work. The individual is able to experience work with the support of a case manager to assess and work through the individual’s weaknesses. Individuals learn how to interact with coworkers and supervisors as well as what it means to be a successful employee.
Personal Social Adjustment Training
Individuals learn to navigate the social aspects of a work environment. Individuals learn concepts such as how to cope with criticism, conflict resolution, and problem-solving using a curriculum developed by Goodwill Industries International.
Day Habilitation
Individuals learn key skills necessary for leading independent lives. We believe work is the cornerstone of a meaningful adult life and therefore our focus centers around gaining and maintaining employment. In addition to learning about employment, the individuals learn independent living skills such as managing money and maintaining a living environment. They also learn socialization skills such as communicating with others and behaving in a socially responsible manner. Individuals are taught using a curriculum developed by Goodwill Industries of Dallas specifically for the individuals we serve.
