2-1-1 Texas -
A program of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, 211 Texas is committed to helping Texas citizens connect with the services they need. Whether by phone or internet, their goal is to present accurate, well-organized and easy-to-find information from over 60,000 state and local health and human services programs.
Connect to Care -
A part of the national initiative put in place by the Administration on Aging (AoA) and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, Connect to Care links older adults and individuals with disabilities to community resources including employment assistance.
Dallas Metrocare Services (DMS) -
Dallas Metrocare Services is dedicated to helping people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and severe emotional problems live healthier lives. Metrocare provides a comprehensive array of individually-tailored services to help the people we serve toward meaningful and satisfying lives.
The Family Place -
For 30 years, The Family Place’s mission to end the epidemic of family violence has remained constant. We believe that intervention, emergency shelter, and crisis counseling for all victims—women, children and men—will save lives and that transitional housing and case management will transform lives for the better.
The Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse -
The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse exists to improve our communities' health, safety and productivity by reducing the incidence and impact of alcohol and drug abuse. The Council has grown to reach annually tens of thousands of youth, parents, professionals and other individuals and groups through an extensive network of supported services.
Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) -
The agency works with Texans with disabilities and developmental delays to improve the quality of their lives and to enable their full participation in society. This agency offers comprehensive rehabilitation services including disability determination services.
Ticket to Work -
The goal of the Ticket Program is to increase opportunities and choices for Social Security disability beneficiaries to obtain employment, vocational rehabilitation (VR), and other support services from public and private providers, employers, and other organizations.
Urban League of Greater Dallas and North Central Texas -
With programs that include employment, health, housing, education, technology training, ex-offender reentry program and seniors' services, the Urban League’s efforts here have seen many accomplishments including the following: founded and operated the first funded Sickle Cell Anemia Program; sponsored the first job and health fairs; organized the integration of Fair Park concessions; and is currently one of two HUD certified housing counseling agencies. and other organizations.
Wilkinson Center -
The Wilkinson Center’s programs are designed to work with the entire family, to empower them to help themselves break the cycle of poverty. Social services, Adult Education programs and our free CLIMB After-School and Summer Program all work together in harmony to provide each family the resources to create a “pathway out of poverty” tailored for their unique circumstances.
Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas -
Workforce Solutions administers a broad range of programs to address local workforce issues with business-directed objectives, including job training, workplace education, child care and educational initiatives to provide the necessary support for every citizen of Dallas County to be successful at work.
