Goodwill Industries International is proud to announce that it has earned high honors among independent publications and industry watch groups. These ratings reinforce that Goodwill is a good steward of donations and is committed to stretching its dollars to serve the maximum number of people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Smart Money Magazine

Goodwill Industries International was ranked the 20th charity overall and 5th in the Human Services Group in Smart Money, the Wall Street Journal Magazine of Personal Business, where donors get the "most bang for their buck." The magazine ranked the 100 largest charities by their program ratios, fundraising ratios, and savings ratios. (December 2001)

NonProfit Times

Goodwill Industries International was ranked 7th in the NPT 100, the oldest ranking of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations. To be included in the NPT 100, organizations had to have raised at least 10 percent of their income from public sources. And, the nonprofits had to have derived less than 90 percent of revenue from program services, foundation grants or government funds. (November 2001)

American Institute of Philanthropy

The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP), the nation's leading charity watchdog, establishes a list of "Top Rated Charities." Goodwill Industries International was awarded an "A rating" for its cost-effective charitable spending and fundraising practices. (July 2002)

Chronicle of Philanthropy

The Philanthropy 400 ranks the nation’s biggest fundraisers. Goodwill Industries International ranked 27th overall; 8th in the Human Services Group. Charities are classified by how much support they receive from private sources. The ranking is intended to demonstrate how well the organizations are attracting private donations. (November 2000)

BBB Wise Giving Alliance

The BBB Wise Giving Alliance has established Standards in Philanthropy and evaluates charities against those standards. Goodwill Industries International meets all standards set forth by the Council of Better Business. (July 2002)
